Factory Decommissioning Birmingham to Brazil

9th Feb 2011

International Export Packers (IEP) was requested by a world leading shipping company to help in a complete factory move from Birmingham to Brazil.

IEP was originally brought in as project surveyor to oversee the cargo and the way the machines were to be shipped, but the customer immediately saw the added value that we could bring to the project and asked us to carry out the complete job. Specialist personnel and equipment were brought in to assist in the removal process. The complete factory line was packed into over 100 cases amounting to almost 442 tonnes (2080 m3) and loaded to 37 GP Shipping Containers and Flat-Rack Vehicles.

IEP was required to abide by strict time slots and schedules at the site and our customer was delighted with the efficient and timely manner in which we carried out the work.  International Export Packers is now a preferred supplier for this client for this type of work around the world.
